Grom is a beautifully crafted, cloth-bound and screen printed, 200-page book with over 100 images showcasing the beauty of grom surf culture in the South Bay of Los Angeles.
The South Bay is a special place where kids and adults come together to share the beach and surf. Surfing carries with it a generational joy as this family friendly area welcomes young surfers and shelters them as they ride, fall, learn, and grow. There are many special places in the world, but the South Bay is one where groms can cultivate their passion in a positive and nurturing environment—where the people who live here are as special as the place.

What an awesome book :) what a great idea, love seeing our old turf . . . and the newer generations. Beautiful cover. The book is wonderful, so many of those images are the beaches I surfed and grew up at . . . I was a true local at Torrance and Rat beach from late 68 to 73! A true Grom. So those images towards the peninsula hit home, but so do all of the images with the Hermosa backdrop and looking towards the stacks at El Porto with Manhattan hovering a bit before that.
The book can quick and the purchase was seamless. Loving the whole package!
Great service, fast shipping 👍🙂
This book is cool. Not in an in-your-face, too cool for school way. In a laid back, Laird Hamilton way. Every photo is a benevolent bouncer, inviting you into the exclusive surf subculture instead of making you stand outside in the cold. Thanks for this piece of surf history. Our coffee table is a little cooler now, too.
I am very pleased with the quality of the book— the photography and inspiring stories. This is a lovely addition to my coffee table. Great conversation piece!
